Trip to Romania

Dear Family & Friends:

Happy Summer! I pray that this letter finds you and your family well. My husband & I have been living in Atlanta for over a year now and attend North Point Community Church where Andy Stanley is the pastor.

I have the opportunity to join my Mother-in-law who works with Greater Europe Mission on a mission trip to Tasnad, Romania October 7th -22nd. Our team of 8 will be teaching English as an outreach in order to build a relationship to gain the privilege of sharing Christ with them. Learning to speak English is a real boost for people in a job market particularly when like in this small town, there are tourist attractions near by. The Orthodox Church is the primary religion among Romanians with only 4 to 6% evangelical Christians.

In order to go I will need to raise $995.00 plus airfare which can be sent to “Greater Europe Mission” at PO Box 1669; Monument, CO 80132-1669 and please add a note that states “Romania TEFL 51091-Makaila Hite.” Any donation is tax deductable.

Thank-you for your prayers and financial support. You can stay updated on this trip by visiting our team blog where we will post photos, information and prayer request.

Atlanta

Well, Lee & I have been living in Atlanta since the end of April. It has already been 5 months. It was crazy only having 3 weeks to pack & move out of our house, then move to the other side of Georgia. Since then we got an apartment in Duluth & I found this horrible nanny job which I quit and found an awesome job within a week. :) I have been working for TRC Staffing Services for about 2 months now. It is crazy busy but it is a great company to work for. Two weeks ago someone finally rented our house in Rome, GA, which we are very happy about. The reason we moved here was because Lee got a job at Enterprise. I am very proud how hard my husband works for me. I love him so much. He is my life! Last Sunday night he surprised me on a date & took me to Five Guys, a make your own yogurt shop & a movie at this really old ghetto dollar movie theater to see Knight & Day! Lee was very romantic, he did a great job! Well nothing else to say besides our family always asking us when we will start having kids, which will still be a while! :)

New Life

Well Lee and I moved to Suwanee, GA on April 24th. We are currently living with our friends, Jer & Caitlin Goss, until we can rent our home or I get a jobbb. I have been searching for over a week now, looking here in the Suwanee area. It is really hard and frustrating, and I am ready to be done looking. I am waiting to hear about a receptionist position at Millennium Mat Company. I was told that they liked me, but I am working with a temporary service. It is taking some time from them to get back with me. :( But I am trying to stay positive. I know God has one out there for me, I just have to wait on God to do his work. We are enjoying the area out here, it is very pretty and it will be more exciting once I can bring Teddy and Timmy home. We found the apartment complex that we want to live in and we will make it a permanent once my job comes into play. Thank you for all of your prayers and we miss our friends and families very much. Love you all! :)

Exciting things...

It has been a year since I have written. Today is my first day training at Chick-fil-a. Lee is working on moving up in the Chick-fil-a business and we are both praying & knowing that God will help us with this decision. I am very excited to work with my husband again [since we are Chick-fil-a sweethearts :)] and help him when we get our own franchise, Lord willing. We are very excited about everything happening and could use some prayers. Thank you, we love you all!! :)

Busy Life...

It's been a long time since I have written last. Lee and I have been so busy, but it has been a great summer. Lee spoiled me on my birthday, August 5th, by buying me three sets of flowers, taking me out to Provinos, and spoiling me with lots of chocolate!! :) This past weekend we bought a new Toyota Camry 2009, which I can say it is my car. It's awesome, we love it so much, it was about time to have 2 cars. My old car was totaled in a hit and run accident back in February.

Lee's schedule is pretty crazy right now with his work, he leaves the house around 8am and doesn't get back until around 9 or 10pm Monday-Thursday. But I'm very proud of his hard work, he's such a great husband. :)

Everyday life...

I started my new job 3 weeks ago with Abbott and Richardson, CPAs, and it has been a lot of fun learning new things and meeting lots of new people. Every Monday through Thursday Lee and I get up around 7 and he leaves to go to Atlanta at 8am and doesn't get back until around 9pm. So I miss him a lot through out the week. On the weekends we hang out a lot so it is so hard to go back to work on Mondays.

Last night one of our shelves that we hung up fell and I had my crystal candle holders on it and it scared us so bad because we thought our window broke and that the air condition unit fell out. LOL!! I was sad that my crystal candle holders broke but thankful that it wasn't the window instead.

Departure...

Lee and I just got back home from Jer and Caitlin's wedding and it was so much fun. Lee was a groomsmen so we got to go to the rehearsal dinner and hear funny stories about them and the food was awesome. It hit me last night, that today would be the last time to see them for a long time because they are moving to NY and it is so sad. We are very close with them and they are such great friends and we will miss them very much!!
